Friskier than Eric Morcambe and almost as handsome.

What's it all about, Alfie?

Joshua Marshall

My standard every-site-on-the-internet profile blurb sums things up pretty well:

Raleigh NC based web developer, husband, music obsessive, film nerd, ex-Star Wars fan, sushi lover, Apple fanboy, MST3K devotee, and, at 34 years of age, someone who’s still unable to grow a proper beard.

I’m married to a New Orleans native called Samara and we currently live in beautiful Raleigh, North Carolina with a neurotic cat named Jaques who has more quirks than a bus full of ex-girlfriends, and a two-year old basset hound who goes by the name of Hank.

I’m a Welshman trapped in an Englishman’s body (so sorry ladies, but no lush Welsh valleys accent for me). I like the color #9dcee0, love most things Apple, I’m obsessed with cycling and fixedgear bikes, and I love the boardgame Monopoly. I’m rubbish at chess though.

I’m the Principal at a tiny, one person web shop called Pixeljuicer Studios. I love to create things for the web, and I play nicely with others, so if you’re looking for a web developer or need a freelancer to collaborate with, you should look me up.

About the site

partiallyblind.com used to be a blog, then it wasn’t much of anything except a placeholder. These days I’m giving the blog thing another go, and we’ll see how well I manage to keep up. Probably not a great idea to expect too much though.

The site has recently been moved from its old Textpattern installation to SimpleLog, a wonderful Ruby on Rails-powered blogging platform written by Garrett Murray.

Thanks for reading. If you’d like, feel free to say hello via sayhello [at] partiallyblind.com.

I’d like that.

I network socially at Virb, I keep track of the music I listen to using Last.fm, I post the pictures I take to Flickr, I list things I watch and read with All Consuming, I have a to-do list of sorts on 43things, and I post interesting things I come across on the interweb to del.icio.us.
